Born and raised in Irmo, South Carolina, Dana is a 1987 graduate of Irmo High School. She attended the University of South Carolina and transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina earning a BS in Physical Therapy and a Masters of Health Science. Dana currently works PRN for Amedisys Hospice assisting patients and family members with end of life mobility. She joined our office full time in 2018 to assist with patient scheduling and treatment coordination. She is active in the local community as a member of the Chapin Junior Woman's Club, Columbia Woman's Club, American Cancer Society, and is the Teaching Director for the In-Prison branch of Community Bible Study.
Insurance and Financial Coordinator
Samm works closely with patients, explains their benefits to them, communicates any insurance concerns, and manages any insurance disputes. She demonstrates excellent customer service, and shares a professional relationship with insurance companies to ensure success in balancing patient needs with their insurance benefits. Samm is knowledgeable in the latest insurance filing software through numerous billing and coding certification courses. Her skills and attention to patient’s financial worries provides for a positive dental experience.
